Gorgeous In-home Newborn Photography Session in Winchester Virginia
This Gorgeous Northern Virginia in-home newborn photography session is one of my recent favorites! Sweet Rhys was amazing during his session. If you are an expecting mother, you are likely preparing everything for your arrival of your sweet baby including the nursery. Nurseries don’t stay nurseries for very long so making sure I capture details in there is always something I like to capture.
Offering in-home newborn photography services in and around Northern Virginia, I believe that this is where you and your newborn will be most relaxed. While being able to include a setting that is uniquely yours it also allows me to include family pets as well. Franklin did not disappointment. He was curious to see what I was up to. I’m pretty sure we’re friends now. Making sure I offer an experience that’s enjoyable for everyone involved is my main goal.
The baby will typically determine the flow of the session. If baby is hungry when I arrive, then I will start with some feeding and changing shots. If baby is sleeping soundly (kudos to you!) then I’ll start with some simple posed shots of your sweet newborn. Typically in the master bedroom, but I make use to any room that has great lighting. There is no set schedule or plan; as a parent myself, I’ve learned to adapt.
Although this is newborn session, I do offer gentle guidance for posing to get the ball rolling and help clients settle in. I also try and naturally pose baby for those sweet detail shots.
Keep in mind that I'm documenting a day in your life, so keep it real by wearing what you’re most comfortable in and by being yourself. I encourage neutral colors, steering away from t-shirts with logos or bold patterns. Casual clothing is perfect and bare feet look most natural in a home setting. Moms, consider a light flowy shirt, maxi dress or a pretty cotton gown that will be both comfortable and soft while you are cuddling with your new baby. I love Alex’s dress that she wore, very flattering and really made the gallery come together.
