WHAT IS A RAINBOW BABY?

A "rainbow baby" is a baby who is welcomed into a family after they have experienced a loss due to miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death. A rainbow baby embodies hope and healing after grief and loss, no matter how short or long that journey is.

When a rainbow appears, is doesn't mean the ravage of the storm is forgotten - it means that something full of light and hope has appeared in the midst of the darkness.

Although I, myself has not experienced a loss of a child, I have friends and family that have gone through this, and it truly breaks my heart. I wanted to do something to help support my community and moms who maybe going through this. That’s why I decided to offer a free “Rainbow Baby” newborn sessions once a quarter to deserving families who are expecting their rainbow baby. You can nominate a friend, a family member or you can nominate yourself - all you have to do is share your story with me. I believe it is so important to tell your story. Little by little, every time we talk about infant loss, we are spreading awareness. My hope for this project is that every story shared gives a little bit more hope to families who are still stuck in their storm.  Rainbow newborn sessions will be decided on the 1st of January, April, July, and October. I will then use a random name generator and have one family selected each quarter for this free session. If you are a pregnant mother and you are selected, we will complete your session the month in which your baby is due. I am so excited to be offering these sessions to families that have experienced heartbreak, disappointment, pain, grief, and loss. I'd like to bless you and your family with a gift from me to you. I hope this not only helps bring some joy, but also is a celebration of everything that your rainbow means.

One newborn session will be gifted per quarter to eligible families.
The Stacey Brenner Photography's "Rainbow Baby" package includes: 

2 - 3 hour newborn session,

Baby only and family portraits,

10 fully retouched digital images, 

Plus each session will include at least one special rainbow accessory to honor your little one.

Are you expecting your rainbow baby? Do you know someone who is? Use the form below to submit your nomination.

Disclosure:

Applications must be received before baby is born. Sessions will take place within two weeks of baby's arrival (not including babies with prolonged hospital stays). The recipient chosen for the free session will not book a newborn session with another photographer. If the recipient books with another photographer, please be fair to other applicants and forfeit the free session so it can be gifted to another family.
